Mortgage Loan Consultants are responsible for proactively developing and maintaining a network of Realtors and other quality sources of business in designated territories in order to originate quality, one-to-four-family residential mortgage loans. Loan Consultants solicit new business to meet established loan quality and volume; participate in business related development activities to contribute to community effort and promote lending origination.
Qualifications:
1) Thorough knowledge of lending regulations, conventional and/or government loan requirements and general finance.
2) 2 years experience in originating conventional single and multi-family residential loans.
3) Self-motivated, high energy and excellent organizational and follow-up skills a must.
4) Demonstrated sales ability and experience marketing products to the real estate community.
Processor Description:
The Mortgage Loan Processor is responsible for independently processing loans while interfacing with Loan Consultants, outside vendors (e.g., title insurance, mortgage insurance companies) and borrowers. The position is responsible for maintaining production according to established standards, providing excellent customer service and maintaining knowledge of the company's automated systems for loan processing. Daily functions also include submitting loan for approval after reviewing the file for compliance, notifying originator and applicant of credit decision within regulatory time frames, clearing and conveying title, accurately documenting file, reviewing final conditions for compliance and managing all post closing functions.
Qualifications:
* 2 or more years of related job experience as a loan processor, originator or support specialist.
* Good understanding of principles practices and regulation applicable to mortgage lending.
* Excellent working knowledge of loan products.
* Ability to demonstrate excellent communication skills as the primary source of information to all borrowers and internal staff.
* Excellent interpersonal skills to establish effective relationships as required by the job.
* Experience in operation loan processing system/software.
